When you need a brush cutter attachment that can go the extra mile, the Terminator XP delivers unmatched power and performance. Built to handle everything from dense overgrowth to stubborn native grasses, this skid steer brush cutter stands out as a heavy-duty solution for demanding jobs. Whether you’re working on a residential property or managing a large-scale commercial site, the Terminator XP is designed to exceed expectations. Unlike standard skid steer attachments, it combines superior strength and cutting precision with rugged durability to conquer even the most challenging terrain.
What sets the Terminator XP apart is its upgraded build and advanced performance components. Constructed with AR400 steel blades and a reinforced ¼-inch deck with 5/16-inch deck sides, this brush cutter attachment is made to endure the toughest brush-clearing tasks. Between the blades, carbide-tipped mulching teeth tear through thick vegetation, small trees, and tree stumps, making it one of the most efficient tools in its class. The open-front design allows debris to clear easily while maintaining optimal blade tip speed. A customized high-torque motor ensures the unit matches your specific skid steer for peak efficiency, and with replaceable wear shoes, the cutter’s deck stays protected for the long haul.
The Terminator XP is compatible with skid steers, CTLs, and MTLs and is built to work with hydraulic flow rates ranging from 17 to 45 GPM. With models featuring a 3-blade system on the 60-inch and a 4-blade system on the 72-inch and 78-inch options, it’s engineered for versatility and control across a wide range of tasks. Whether you’re a landowner clearing acreage, a contractor working on site development, or a utility company managing rights-of-way, this skid steer brush cutter is designed for relentless performance. It’s a powerful addition to your fleet that will save time, increase productivity, and keep your projects moving forward—no matter the size or complexity.
The blades on the Skid Steer Brush Cutter Terminator XP are slanted on both sides to allow you to flip them and use the opposite edge. This dual-edge design helps extend the cutting life of the brush cutter attachment and improves overall efficiency during operation.
No, the Terminator XP is engineered to spin and cut in only one direction. Running this skid steer brush cutter in reverse is not recommended and could damage the unit or reduce its performance. The same applies to the original Terminator model.
Yes, both the standard flow and high flow versions of the Terminator XP skid steer attachment require a case drain line. This helps maintain proper hydraulic performance and protects the motor under demanding brush cutting conditions.
The number of carbide tip mulching teeth on the Terminator XP depends on the model size:
These teeth are designed for aggressive mulching and high-performance brush clearing.
While a few customers have sharpened the carbide tip teeth, it is generally difficult due to the hardness of the material. For best performance and safety, we recommend replacing worn teeth with new ones when needed.

These guys are legit! Terminator xp, the big one. Eats everything. Highly recommend. Been working it for 2 months. It is a beast!. I think they understate what it is capable of. I glide through 7-10” trees with my svl97. Takes a min for hydraulic to recover when I grind them but the Term XP is flawless. Wish I had 1000 horsepower to let this thing eat.
Great company, produce, and customer service! When I called to ask about a brush cutter, the lady I spoke to talked to me for over an hour! Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the equipment and my skid steer. I ordered the terminator XP on a Friday and it was at my house on Tuesday! They even included a free shirt! The cutter is amazing! Far exceeded my expectations! This thing is an absolute beast! Thank you and it’s nice to know there are still great people and companies out there!
I recently purchased a 78″ Terminator XP for pasture clearing. I’ve used the unit on heavy brush with cedars and honey locust mixed in. This unit absolutely exceeds expectations.
Over the years I have purchased 2 48 ‘ Tree Slayers and 2 Terminator XPs all four on different equipment. These products are outstanding and built to last. Also, Rut’s customer service is top notch. Great products with great service. I highly recommend Rut Manufacturing!
