Common Questions About Our Products

Can I use different attachment brands on my skid steer?
Yes, most skid steers are designed with a universal quick coupler system that allows them to connect with various attachment brands. However, before purchasing a stump grinder attachment or any other implement, it’s essential to confirm that your skid steer’s hydraulic capacity and operating weight are compatible with the specific requirements of the attachment. This ensures optimal performance and safety.
It depends on your job site, workload, and environment. If you’re working in tight areas or need to reach brush high off the ground, an excavator cutter is the better fit. If you’re clearing a large, open field and want to get the job done quickly, go with a skid steer cutter.
All of our cutters spin clockwise when you’re seated in the cab.
This is usually a plumbing issue. Try swapping the couplers on the cutter’s hoses—some machines are plumbed differently, and switching the lines typically solves the problem.
That’s the relief valve doing its job—completely normal and nothing to worry about.
We don’t offer in-house financing, but we do partner with a couple of financing companies. We’re happy to connect you with them.
No. The cutter is not designed to run in reverse. While the blades are sharp on both sides—except for those on our skid steer brush mower, which are made to be flipped—they are not intended for reverse operation. Additionally, the blades and blade holder bolts are not reverse-threaded. They’re secured with red Loctite to keep them from coming loose, so you’ll need to apply heat to remove them safely.
Our bearing housings are sealed and filled with 80/90 gear oil.
With normal use and avoiding rocks, the teeth can last a year or longer.
All of our cutters come with a 1-year warranty, except for the skid steer brush mower, which includes a 6-month warranty. This warranty covers all components except for wear items like teeth, blades, and hoses, as well as any damage caused by material wrapping around the bottom shaft.
While the terms are often used interchangeably, “bush hog” is a brand name commonly used to describe a rotary cutter. In function, both a bush hog and a brush cutter perform the same job—clearing heavy vegetation and overgrowth. A high-quality skid steer brush mower cutter offers the same capabilities, designed to tackle thick brush and rugged terrain with ease.
